Privacy Policy
Effective
Ray’s Pet collects only what it needs to help pets find homes, never sells your personal information, and shares your contact details only with the person you choose to contact. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to rayspet.com, run by Witto Ventures LLC.
1. What we collect

When you upload a photo, we automatically remove hidden location data (GPS) and other camera metadata from it.
Rescue listings come from the rescues and from RescueGroups.org. When you click Adopt on a rescue’s pet, you leave Ray’s Pet, and anything you enter on the rescue’s form is governed by the rescue’s own privacy policy, not this one.
2. How we use it
- To run the site: accounts, listings, favorites and inquiries
- To send you emails you need, such as sign-up codes, password resets, new inquiries on your pet, and decisions on your applications
- To keep Ray’s Pet safe: reviewing reports, removing scams, and preventing abuse
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To meet legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.
3. Who sees your information
- Everyone: your listings, and on your public profile only your name, general location and the date you joined. We never show your email or phone publicly.
- The pet’s owner: when you send an inquiry, the owner of that pet sees your inquiry, including your name, email and phone, so they can reach you.
- Service providers who run the site for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, sign-in and email). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect someone’s safety, including an animal’s, or to stop fraud.
- A new owner of Ray’s Pet: if the business is sold or merged, your information may transfer, and this policy will still apply to it.
5. How long we keep it
- Accounts and listings: until you delete them or ask us to close your account
- Inquiries: until the pet’s listing is deleted, at which point its inquiries are deleted too
- Removed photos: deleted from our storage shortly after you remove them
- Logs and backups: kept for a limited time for security and recovery, then deleted
6. Your choices
- Edit your profile and listings at any time from your dashboard.
- Withdraw an application while it is still pending.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing rayspet23@gmail.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), managed sign-in, and access controls on our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away at rayspet23@gmail.com if you think your account has been misused.
8. Children
Ray’s Pet is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email rayspet23@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.
9. Where your data is stored
Your information is stored in the United States.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and, where possible, tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
