About Ella
ELLA Female ~1-1/2 years old Pit Bull Terrier 42 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with dogs, cats and kids! Ella has been through a lot already. After being found malnourished and neglected, animal control removed her from her home alongside her canine brother and unfortunately, was separated from him in the shelter, but they were able to visit each other occasionally in the play yard. Thankfully, LOVEPAWS stepped in and rescued them BOTH, giving Ella the fresh start she deserved. Now thriving in foster care, Ella is embracing life with her signature blend of love, goofiness and charm. She absolutely adores other animals and would love a home with playful canine companions to run, wrestle and cuddle with. She's equally smitten with her people and happily shares her affection with everyone she meets, whether male or female. Simply put, Ella is a lover through and through. Like many young dogs, Ella is still learning the ropes. She has made great progress with stairs and doorways, is working on her leash manners and is nearly accident-free when kept on a regular potty schedule. Most of all, she is eager to please and continues to blossom with gentle guidance and consistency. Ella's foster family describes her as endlessly entertaining. She's delightfully clumsy, wonderfully cuddly and convinced that everyone she sees should stop and give her pets. One of her favorite pastimes is sticking her nose through the fence to greet passing neighbors. She desperately wants the family's 19-year-old cat to play with her, but when the cat declines, Ella lets out the biggest sigh and wears the most dramatic pout. It's impossible not to laugh. Ella delights in racing around the yard with her dog friends, chewing on her beloved Kong and durable toys, or keeping watch at the fence in hopes of making new friends. She's also become quite the football fan and proudly cheers on the Commanders from the couch. While her family is away, she's content relaxing in her kennel, where she enjoys catching episodes of Bluey.
