About Winter

WINTER NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Winter Best Guess for Breed: Shiba Inu mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years old as of October 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 25 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Winter would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Winter is Looking For: His forever home! This handsome boy has experienced some big changes through no fault of his own, and he is ready to trade uncertainty for a stable, loving family of his very own. Winter hopes his new life will include plenty of sniffy walks, playful adventures and opportunities to spend time with other dogs. He would also love to go to dog school, where he can learn new skills, build his confidence and show his humans what a clever boy he can be. At the end of each fun-filled day, he would be delighted to come home to quality kibble, a cushy dog bed and all the love his family has to give. Most of all, Winter wants the warmth and security of knowing he is finally safe, treasured, and home for good. In exchange, he promises to make every season brighter for the lucky family who chooses him. Snow doubt about it—Winter is ready to melt some hearts! What do you say?
