About Lazarus

Like many of us, your first question may be, “Lazarus? That’s an unusual name for a cat.” But once you learn his story, you’ll understand why it fits him so well. Lazarus came to rescue with severe allergies that caused his skin to become extremely itchy and uncomfortable. Before his allergies were under control, he scratched so much that he would injure himself—but through it all, he never lost his sweet, silly, playful personality. Today, Lazarus is the happy, affectionate cat he was always meant to be. He loves to play, explore, and bring plenty of fun and personality to his foster home. He has a wonderful zest for life and is ready to share his days with a family who will appreciate his unique charm. Lazarus takes a daily medication to help manage his allergies. Lazarus also has some food sensitivities, so it’s important that he stick with the foods that work best for him. Fortunately, his special diet doesn’t require anything complicated—his future family simply needs to check ingredient lists and avoid foods that trigger flare-ups. With a little extra care and consistency, Lazarus can continue feeling his best and enjoying life to the fullest.
