About Miranda
Hi. I’m Miranda. I Have a Few Things to Tell You. First, let me introduce myself properly. I’m Miranda: a petite Arabian Mau with a beautiful caliby coat, pale green eyes, and approximately zero interest in sitting still for photographs. You’re welcome to try. I just don’t want to waste your time. I’ve had a bit of an adventure getting here. I was abandoned by my owner in Kuwait, but apparently I didn’t get the memo that I was supposed to disappear. I kept going back to the apartment looking for food until someone found me starving—and with teeth so terrible that every single one of them eventually had to be removed. Then I came all the way to the United States. I’ll admit, that part was scary. I was terrified when I was living in a cage. But then I went to my foster home, and something amazing happened. Within minutes, I was exploring. And purring. Very loudly. It turns out I’m not a shy girl at all. I LOVE people. I want attention. I want affection. I want to know what you’re doing. And if you happen to have a toy nearby, I would like to play with that too. Actually, let’s be clear about the toys: every toy is the best toy ever. I am an equal-opportunity player. Wand toy? Fantastic. Ball? Wonderful. Something that makes absolutely no sense as a cat toy? Even better. But there is one thing I don’t like. Being alone. I really, really don’t like being alone. Fortunately, I have a solution: I desperately want to meet the resident cats in my foster home. I keep hoping someone will let me introduce myself properly because I am quite convinced that having a feline friend would be wonderful. So my ideal forever home is one where I have a kitty companion—or humans who are home a lot and are prepared to give me the company I crave. I’ve already been through a lot. What I’d really like now is pretty simple: A safe home. People who love me. Someone to play with. And, preferably, a cat friend who will let me be part of the gang. After everything I’ve been through, I think I’ve earned my happily-ever-after. And I promise to repay you with loud purrs, enthusiastic playtime, and absolutely terrible photographs.
